# Can I schedule automatic exports of my data on Simkl?

Simkl does offer an automated backup feature for VIP members. To set up automatic monthly backups of your data to Google Drive or Email, follow these steps:

1. Go to the Simkl website ([https://simkl.com](https://simkl.com/)) and log in to your account.
2. Make sure you have a VIP membership. If you don't, you can upgrade your account by visiting <https://simkl.com/vip/> and selecting a VIP plan.
3. Visit the Simkl Backup App page at <https://simkl.com/apps/backup/>.
4. Choose the Enable "G Drive Backup" or "Email Backup" option.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the backup process. You may be asked to grant Simkl permission to access your Google Drive account.

Once you complete the setup process, Simkl will automatically create a full backup of your watch history in JSON format and save it to your Google Drive or send it to your email every month. This feature ensures that you never lose your watch history and can easily access your data whenever needed.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.simkl.org/how-to-use-simkl/advanced-usage/import-export-data/exporting-from-simkl/faq/can-i-schedule-automatic-exports-of-my-data-on-simkl.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
