Memos on SIMKL allow users to create quick notes or personal reflections about a TV show, movie, or anime they’ve watched. This feature acts as a personal record-keeping tool, letting users jot down thoughts, reactions, or reminders about what they’ve seen.
Unlike reviews, which are more in-depth, memos act like personal sticky notes that can be private or public, allowing users to track their experiences and thoughts effortlessly. Whether you’re a casual viewer or a film enthusiast, SIMKL’s memo feature ensures that you always have a space to capture your thoughts.
A memo (memorandum) is a short, written note created by a user to document a quick thought, impression, or detail about a title they’ve watched.
Think of it as your personal journal entry, where you can keep track of what stood out to you while watching a show or movie.
For example:
"This movie has the best twist ending I've ever seen!"
"Need to rewatch episode 5—it was too complex to understand in one go."
"Incredible cinematography! Reminds me of Blade Runner’s lighting."
SIMKL developed memos as a feature to help users track their viewing experience in a more personalized way. Unlike traditional reviews, which are long and meant for others, memos are short, quick, and mainly for the user.
Some key benefits of memos include:
Quickly document important thoughts while watching a show.
Remember key plot points, favorite moments, or details for future reference.
Enhance discussion and engagement by sharing insights with the community.
Private or Public Option: Keep notes to yourself or share them with others.
Great for film students, critics, and casual viewers who want to keep track of their thoughts.
