The easiest way to track progress is by adding content to your watchlist.

1. Visit the title’s **episode list** under the summary tab.
2. Click the **gray circular button** beside an episode to mark it as watched.

#### **What Is This Feature?**

When you mark a show or anime as "Completed," SIMKL will now **automatically backfill watch history** by applying a watched timestamp to **every individual episode**, based on the show's completion date. Each episode will visually display a (✅) checkmark, giving a clearer overview of your actual progress.

#### How It Works

1. Open a show or anime you've completed.
2. Mark the title as **“Completed”** using the right panel.
3. SIMKL automatically:
   * Marks **all episodes as watched**.
   * Uses the show’s end date to assign timestamps.
   * Displays checkmarks per episode in the interface.
4. If the show is *still airing* or not officially ended by the network, the status will display as **“Watching”** instead — even if you’ve seen every episode so far. But rest assured, **your progress is saved**.
5. Want to manually remove a few episodes from your history? Just uncheck them — timestamps will auto-update in the background.

#### How to Update Progress on the Calendar

Tracking from the calendar is designed for efficiency, allowing you to mark items as "Seen" with a single click.

1. Navigate to your Calendar: Go to your profile and select the Calendar tab.
2. Select "List" View: This feature is only visible in the List view. It is not available in Posters or Fanart view modes.
3. Identify the Episode: Locate the specific TV Show or Anime episode you have watched on its scheduled date.
4. Click the Checkmark: On the left side of the title (or by hovering over the entry), click the Grey Checkmark icon.
5. Status Update: Once clicked, the checkmark will turn Green, indicating that the episode has been successfully added to your history and your overall progress has been updated.
