How to Whitelist Simkl Notifications Emails

Never miss an email from Simkl ever again.

Stay updated with the latest episodes and updates from Simkl by ensuring our emails reach your inbox.

Sometimes, email providers may mistakenly filter legitimate emails into spam or junk folders. By whitelisting our email address, notifications@simkl.com, you guarantee that our communications are always delivered to you.

General Instructions

Regardless of your email provider, the following general steps can help ensure you receive our emails:

  1. Add Simkl to Your Contacts or Address Book: This signals to your email provider that you trust emails from us.

  2. Mark Emails as "Not Spam" or "Not Junk": If you find an email from us in your spam or junk folder, marking it as "Not Spam" helps your email provider learn your preferences.

  3. Create a Filter or Rule: Set up a filter to automatically direct emails from notifications@simkl.com to your inbox.

Gmail

Add to Contacts

  1. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  2. Hover over the sender's name ("Simkl Notifications") at the top of the email.

  3. Click "Add to Contacts" when the contact card appears.

  4. The email address notifications@simkl.com is now saved in your contacts.

Mark as Not Spam

If our emails are in your Spam folder:

  1. Open your Spam folder.

  2. Locate the email from Simkl Notifications.

  3. Select the email.

  4. Click "Not spam" at the top.

Move to Primary Tab (Gmail Tabs)

If our emails are under the Promotions or other tabs:

  1. Drag and drop the email from Simkl Notifications into the Primary tab.

  2. When prompted with "Do this for future messages?", click "Yes".


Outlook.com (Hotmail, Live, MSN)

Add to Safe Senders

  1. Sign in to your Outlook.com account.

  2. Click the gear icon (Settings) in the upper-right corner.

  3. Select "View all Outlook settings".

  4. Navigate to Mail > Junk email.

  5. Under Safe senders and domains, click "Add".

  6. Enter notifications@simkl.com.

  7. Click "Save".

Mark as Not Junk

If our emails are in your Junk Email folder:

  1. Open the Junk Email folder.

  2. Right-click the email from Simkl Notifications.

  3. Select "Mark as not junk".

  4. The email will move to your inbox.


Yahoo Mail

Add to Contacts

  1. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  2. Click the sender's name or email address.

  3. In the contact card that appears, click "Add to contacts".

  4. Fill in any additional details if desired.

  5. Click "Save".

Create a Filter

  1. Click the gear icon (Settings) and select "More Settings".

  2. Go to "Filters".

  3. Click "Add new filters".

  4. Name the filter (e.g., "Simkl").

  5. Under Set rules, choose:

    • From | contains | notifications@simkl.com

  6. Under Choose a folder to move to, select "Inbox".

  7. Click "Save".


iCloud Mail

Add to Contacts

  1. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  2. Click the sender's name in the email header.

  3. Click "Add to Contacts" in the contact card.

Mark as Not Junk

If our emails are in your Junk folder:

  1. Open the Junk folder.

  2. Select the email from Simkl Notifications.

  3. Click "Not Junk" at the top.


Fastmail

Add to Contacts

  1. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  2. Click the sender's name or email address.

  3. In the contact details pane, click "Add to contacts".

  4. Fill in any additional details.

  5. Click "Save".

Create a Whitelist Rule

  1. Click on the "Settings" icon.

  2. Navigate to Mail Rules.

  3. Click "Add Rule".

  4. Set the rule as follows:

    • When: From is notifications@simkl.com

    • Then: Always deliver to Inbox

  5. Click "Save".


ProtonMail

Add to Contacts

  1. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  2. Click on the sender's name or email address.

  3. A contact card will appear. Click "Add to Contacts".

  4. Fill in any additional details if desired.

  5. Click "Save".

Mark as Not Spam

If our emails are in your Spam folder:

  1. Open your Spam folder.

  2. Select the email from Simkl Notifications.

  3. Click the "Not Spam" button.


Zoho Mail

Add to Contacts

  1. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  2. Hover over the sender's name and click "Add to Contacts".

  3. Fill in any additional details.

  4. Click "Save".

Create a Whitelist Filter

  1. Click on the Settings icon.

  2. Navigate to Mail settings.

  3. Click "Allowlist and Blocklist".

  4. Under Allowlist, click "Add".

  5. Enter notifications@simkl.com.

  6. Click "Save".


AOL Mail

Add to Contacts

  1. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  2. Click the sender's name or email address.

  3. In the contact card, click "Add Contact".

  4. Fill in any details and click "Add Contact".

Mark as Not Spam

If our emails are in your Spam folder:

  1. Open your Spam folder.

  2. Select the email from Simkl Notifications.

  1. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  3. Select "Add to Outlook Contacts".

  4. Click "Save & Close".


Mozilla Thunderbird

Add to Address Book

  1. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  2. Click the star icon next to the sender's email address.

  3. The star turns yellow, indicating it's added to your address book.


Apple Mail

Add to Contacts

  1. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  2. Right-click (or Control-click) the sender's email address.

  3. Select "Add to Contacts" or "Add to VIPs".

Mark as Not Junk

If our emails are in your Junk folder:

  1. Open the Junk folder.

  2. Select the email from Simkl Notifications.

  3. Click "Not Junk" at the top.


Windows Mail

  1. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  2. Click on the sender's name.

  3. Click "Add to Contacts".

  1. Open the Gmail app.

  2. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  3. Tap the sender's image or letter icon next to the email.

  4. Tap "Add to Contacts" at the bottom.

Move to Primary

If the email is categorized incorrectly:

  1. Open the email.

  2. Tap the three dots (more options) in the top right.

  3. Select "Move to", then choose "Primary".


Outlook Mobile App

Add to Contacts

  1. Open the Outlook app.

  2. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  3. Tap the sender's name.

  4. Tap the Add Contact icon.

Move Emails to Focused Inbox

  1. Open the email.

  2. Tap the three dots (more options).

  3. Select "Move to Focused Inbox".

  4. Choose "Move this and all future messages".


iOS Mail App

Add to Contacts

  1. Open the Mail app.

  2. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  3. Tap the sender's name in the email header.

  4. Tap "Create New Contact" or "Add to Existing Contact".

  5. Fill in any details and tap "Done".

Move Emails to Inbox

If our emails are in the Junk folder:

  1. Go to the Junk folder.

  2. Swipe left on the email from Simkl Notifications.

  3. Tap "More", then select "Mark...".

  4. Tap "Mark as Not Junk".


Android Mail App

Add to Contacts

  1. Open your email app.

  2. Open an email from Simkl Notifications.

  3. Tap the sender's email address.

  4. Tap "Add Contact".

  5. Fill in any details and save.

Mark as Not Spam

If our emails are in your Spam folder:

  1. Open the Spam folder.

  2. Select the email from Simkl Notifications.

  3. Tap "Not Spam" or "Move to Inbox".

Whitelist Sender

  1. Access your user_prefs file, usually located in the .spamassassin directory.

  2. Add the following line:

    whitelist_from notifications@simkl.com
  3. Save and close the file.


Barracuda Networks

Whitelist Sender

  1. Log in to your Barracuda Spam Firewall interface.

  2. Go to "Preferences" > "Whitelist/Blacklist".

  3. In the Sender Whitelist field, enter notifications@simkl.com.
