Reset or Change Your SIMKL Account Password

Losing access to your account can be stressful, but Simkl makes it easy to reset your password and get back to tracking your favorite shows and movies.
Follow the guide below to quickly regain access to your Simkl account.
Login & Password SettingsGo to the SIMKL Passport Login Page
Go to https://passport.simkl.com/login/ and enter your existing credentials.
Forgot your password? Click Lost Password and follow the recovery steps to set a new one before proceeding.
Enter Your SIMKL Username or Email
In the Forgot your password? form, enter the exact SIMKL username or the email address registered to your SIMKL account.
Click Reset Password.
Check Your Email for a Restore Link
Within a few minutes, SIMKL will send an email from support@simkl.com with the subject “Password restore from Simkl, step 1.”
Open that email and click the provided restore link.
Receive a Temporary Password
After clicking the link, SIMKL will generate and email you a temporary password.
You’ll receive a second email titled “Your new Simkl password” containing:
Your login (username or email)
Your temporary password
Log In with the Temporary Password
Return to the SIMKL Passport login page.
Enter your username/email and the temporary password you just received.
Click Sign In.
Change to a Strong Permanent Password
Once logged in, immediately update your password to something secure:
Click the ⚙️ gear icon at the top of the page and select Login Settings.
Under Change Password, type:
Your temporary password (for current password)
Your new password (choose a strong one)
Confirm the new password
Click Save to finalize.

Unique Across Sites: Never reuse passwords for critical accounts (email, banking, social networks).
Mix Characters: Combine uppercase & lowercase letters, numbers, and special symbols (e.g., MfT&Jsmafe1ad).
Use a Passphrase: Turn a memorable sentence into an abbreviation or acrostic (e.g., “My friends Tom and Jasmine send me a funny email once a day” ➔ MfT&Jsmafe1ad).
Avoid Common Patterns: Refrain from using easily guessed words, keyboard sequences, or personal information.
