# Simkl Account Cleanup & Deletion
SIMKL now gives you **complete control** over what you want to remove, from full account resets to selective cleanup by media type, list status, or rating category. Whether you’re testing imports, fixing duplicates, or simply starting fresh, this page walks you through every option.

## How to Access the SIMKL Account Cleanup & Deletion Page
Reset your watchlists, or delete your SIMKL account entirely, all cleanup and deletion options are now centralized in your [**Account Settings**](https://simkl.com/settings/login/clean-or-delete/).
**Follow these steps to access the cleanup tools page:**
#### Step-by-Step Navigation
1. **Go to Main Settings**
* Visit
* Or click the **⚙️ Settings** icon at the top right of the SIMKL header.
2. **Select Login & Password**
* From the main tabs, click **Login & Password** or go directly to:\
3. **Scroll Down to the Bottom**
* At the very bottom of the page, you’ll see a red button labeled **“Clean or Delete My Account.”**
* Click it to open the **Account Cleanup & Deletion** interface.

### Clean SIMKL Account
You can completely clean your account by deleting all watch history, lists, ratings, and other activity, without removing your friends or followers.
This is useful if:
* You’re testing **imports or syncing apps** and want to reset data.
* You want to **start fresh** with new tracking.
* You accidentally imported wrong or duplicate data and want to clean it up quickly.
#### Cleanup Options
**1. Delete All Watch History**
Click **“Delete all watch history, etc”** to remove all your tracking data at once.\
This wipes all TV, anime, and movie activity: your account becomes as if newly created.

**2. Need More Control?**
SIMKL now includes a detailed cleanup mode for **precise data management**.\
Click **“Show detailed options”** to reveal full granular controls.
You can now:
* **Select specific watchlist statuses** — choose to delete only “Watching,” “Completed,” “Dropped,” or other categories.
* **Choose content types** — decide if you want to clean only **TV Shows**, **Movies**, or **Anime**.
* **Remove only ratings** — keep your watchlists intact while deleting only star ratings.
* **Mix and match** — create your own combination for maximum precision.
#### Custom Cleanup Options
You’ll see a new section titled **“Custom Cleanup Options”**, where you can select specific checkboxes for what to remove:

After selecting your desired options, click **“Clean Selected Content”** to begin the cleanup.\
You’ll receive a **confirmation email,** open it and confirm to finalize the process.
> **Tip:** Always check your email’s Spam/Junk folder if you don’t see the confirmation message.

### Delete Your SIMKL Account
If you’re sure you want to permanently delete your account, click **“Delete Simkl account”**.
You’ll receive a confirmation emai, follow the link there to permanently remove your account.
#### Before You Delete
* If you just want **privacy**, consider setting your profile to **Private** instead via Privacy Settings.
* If you’re facing an issue, you can always reach out to **** before deleting.
