Spoilers Protection
Control what you see before you watch: blur images, hide titles, descriptions, and ratings to prevent spoilers.
Tired of accidentally spoiling your next binge-watch? SIMKL’s Spoiler Protection Settings are here to help you stay spoiler-free!
This feature lets you hide or blur episode images, titles, descriptions, and ratings until you’ve actually watched the episode or completed the show. Whether you’re tracking multiple series or catching up on anime seasons, Spoiler Protection ensures that what you see matches where you are in your watch progress.
These settings apply across the entire SIMKL website including show and movie detail pages, episode lists, and individual episode views.

Simkl’s Spoiler Protection ensures you experience your watchlist in the order you intended, without premature reveals.
You choose how much information you want to see, giving you full control of your viewing journey. You can find Spoiler Protection options in your settings: https://simkl.com/settings/

FAQ
Q1. Do these settings hide spoilers from other users’ memos? Yes, enabling “Hide memos until completed” prevents spoilers in community notes until you’ve finished the show.
Q2. Will my preferences sync across devices? Yes. Once set, your spoiler preferences are saved to your Simkl account and work across browsers.
Q3. Does hiding ratings also hide my personal rating? No. It hides external SIMKL/IMDB ratings for unwatched titles, not your personal input.
