Is there a way i can actually check the watch date?
Simkl provides a way to track and document your watch history, helping you keep up with your favorite shows. The V2 Beta version (available for PRO and VIP users) offers new features such as sorting by last watched and viewing watched dates and shows last watched in the Table View in addition to watch dates on other pages.
Simkl allows users to see when they last watched a show or episode in multiple locations:
In your Dashboard in Recently Watched.
Show and Movie Summary Pages – Displays your last watched date and episode progress.
Episode Pages – Shows the date and time you watched specific episodes.
V2 Beta Table View – When filters are hidden, you can see the watched date for each show in your watchlist.
Navigate to My TV Shows, My Anime or My Movies from your Profile.
Ensure you are in Table View.
Hide filters to reveal the watched date column.
Sort by Last Episode Air Date or other preferences.
V2 Beta supports sorting by last watched date within the Table View.
To access this feature, go to My TV Shows and select Table View.
This option is currently available for PRO and VIP users in beta testing.
Selecting a custom watched date is not yet available. Currently, Simkl marks the episode as watched using the current date.
A dedicated "History" page with a timeline of each episode separately is on the to-do list.

Users can rate content on a scale of 1 to 10.
Simkl enables users to rate and review shows and movies on the platform. These ratings and reviews can be helpful when deciding what to watch next, as they provide insights from other users who have already watched the content.
In order to leave a detailed review for any content on SIMKL, head over to the reaction section of the title, which can be found as you scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Click on "Add Your Review" button, which would open a new page, wherein you can add a title review of the content you watched and how you feel about it.

Often users get confused between memo's and comments section. Memos are a short notes or special pointers which users make after/during watching a content.
Mostly used by Movie Enthusiasts, Critics, Bloggers, Film Students, Directors, Producer, Writer, etc.
For Example: If you are in a business meeting, it is important to make notes from that meeting which should be direct and easy to navigate, those notes are also called Memos.

To participate in discussions on Simkl, you can join the comment sections of shows and movies, and share your thoughts and opinions with other users. Be sure your topic matches the general theme of the page.
To write a comment on SIMKL, scroll down to the bottom of the page of the show or movie you want to comment on and find the comment section. Type your comment in the text box and click on the "Post" button to publish your comment.
You can start a specific discussion topic in SIMKL's Comment section, where other users can also react and answer your questions.
In the SIMKL's comment section, users can post links to photos, memes, GIFs, or YouTube videos, among other types of media. SIMKL identifies them instantly and presents them in a separate section.
Keeping your SIMKL Watchlist organized is essential for a smooth viewing experience. Sometimes, you may need to remove a title, reset your progress, or clean up your watch history.
SIMKL provides multiple ways to reset or remove a title from your watchlist, depending on whether you want to:
Remove a title from your watchlist completely
Reset the progress of a specific TV show, anime, or movie
Unmark episodes or entire seasons as watched
Undo an accidental mark as watched
Fully reset your SIMKL profile watch history
Below is a step-by-step guide to help you reset or remove a title from your watchlist with ease.
If you no longer want a movie, TV show, or anime in your watchlist, you can remove it entirely from your profile.
Go to the Title’s Page
Search for the movie, TV show, or anime you want to remove.
Click on its title to open the main page.
Locate the Watchlist Button
You will see the "Added to Watchlist" button.
This button will display the current list the title belongs to (Watching, Plan to Watch, Completed, etc.).
Click on the Watchlist Button
A dropdown menu will appear showing different list options.
Select "Remove from List"
This will remove the title from all your watchlists (Watching, Completed, Dropped, etc.).
Any saved watch progress for this title will also be deleted.
Note: If you remove a TV show or anime, it will no longer appear in your Watching, Plan to Watch, or Completed lists. If you re-add the title later, you will need to start tracking from the beginning.
If you want to keep the title in your watchlist but reset your progress, follow these steps:
Go to the Title’s Page
Scroll to the Episode List Section
Find the "Mark as Watched" Checkmarks
Unmark All Episodes and Seasons:
Click on the ✔ checkmark next to any episode.
If you want to reset everything, look for the "Unmark All" option at the top.
You can also reset a specific season by clicking "Unmark Season" (e.g., Unmark Season 2).
Confirm Reset
Your progress will now be reset to 0 episodes watched.
If you want to reset everything (all watchlists, progress, and history) and start fresh, SIMKL provides a full account reset option.
Use this method only if you want to start completely fresh!

Locate the Title:
Use the search bar or browse through your Watchlist, Movies, TV Shows, or Anime sections.
Find the Rating Section:
On the title’s page, look for the star-based rating scale below the summary or next to the “Add to Watchlist” button.
Select Your Rating:
Hover over the stars and click on the desired score (1 being the lowest and 10 the highest).
Save Your Rating:
Once selected, your rating will automatically save and appear on your profile or the title page.
Sometimes, there might be situations where you may have accidently give a title a 10/10 rating, while during what a show, but after completing that show. You realized its not worth 10/10, and plans to edit your rate. Same goes with movies, if you are watching a 3 hour long movie.
Editing Ratings:
Navigate to the title page.
Hover over your existing rating and select a new score. The updated rating is saved instantly.
Sometimes, you may want to adjust or remove ratings you've given on SIMKL for various reasons. Whether you made a mistake or want to start fresh, SIMKL provides flexible methods to delete ratings.
Below are two detailed methods to help you clean or delete your ratings effectively:
This method allows you to easily remove ratings for individual titles directly from the SIMKL Discover page, depending on your chosen view layout (Poster, Table, or Card View).
Poster View:
Hover over the top-left corner of the title poster where the star icon appears.
Click on the “Rate This” button. If you've already rated the title, a pop-up will appear displaying your rating.
In this pop-up, click the “Remove Rating” option to delete your rating for that title.
Table View:
Locate the “My Rating” column in the Table View. This column shows all your ratings for each title.
If the “My Rating” column is not visible, check the filtering options in your saved layout to enable it.
To delete a rating, simply click on the star icon under the respective title and choose the “Remove Rating” option.
Card View:
Hover over the card of the title and click on the star icon or your existing rating.
Similar to the Poster View, a pop-up will display, allowing you to edit or delete the rating by selecting the “Remove Rating” option.
If you’re looking to reset your ratings in bulk, SIMKL provides a "Clean Ratings" feature for this purpose. However, use this method carefully as it deletes all your ratings for specific categories (TV Shows, Movies, Anime) or even for your entire account.
Steps for Bulk Cleaning Ratings:
Go to the SIMKL Settings Page: Clean or Delete Settings.
Scroll down to the “Clean Your Account” section. Here, you will find several options:
Delete All Watch History: Removes all activity, including ratings, lists, and progress.
Clean TV Show Ratings: Deletes only your TV Show ratings.
Clean Anime Ratings: Deletes only your Anime ratings.
Clean Movie Ratings: Deletes only your Movie ratings.
Select the option that fits your needs and confirm the action.
Friends' Ratings:
This section highlights ratings left by your friends or people you follow on SIMKL.
It’s a more personalized way to see what your circle thinks about a title.
Members' Ratings:
These are general community ratings from all SIMKL users.
If no friends have rated a title, Members' Ratings will be shown by default.

Each episode will typically have a checkbox or a button next to it. Click on this button or checkbox to mark an episode as watched. The episode might also move automatically to a "Watched Episodes" list.
If you have watched several episodes already, you can often mark an entire season as watched by selecting an option usually located at the top of the season’s episode list.
Step 4: Automatic Tracking
As you mark episodes as watched, Simkl automatically updates your progress and saves where you left off, so you can easily continue from the last watched episode next time you visit.

Based on the episodes you've watched, Simkl may suggest other shows similar in genre or theme in a recommendation section on your dashboard or show page.

Go to the Title Page – Visit the movie, TV show, or anime page where you want to write a memo.
Locate the "Add Memo" Button – You’ll see a button labeled "Add Memo"
Type Your Memo – You have 140 characters to summarize your thoughts.
Set Privacy Settings:
Public: Anyone can see and upvote your memo.
Private: Only you can view it.
Click “Save Memo” – Your memo is now stored under that title.

Go to the title page where your memo is saved.
Find your memo under the memo section.
Click Edit to update your thoughts.

Currently, there is no central dashboard for viewing all your memos at once. However, memos are visible on the title page of every show, movie, or anime you’ve added notes to or by using the "Has Memo" filter.
No, only one memo per title is allowed to keep the feature clean and organized. If you need to update your thoughts, simply edit your existing memo.
No, memos are independent of ratings and reviews. You can rate a title, write a memo, and leave a review separately.
Yes, SIMKL allows users to customize the privacy settings of their memos.
Public Memos → Shared with the SIMKL community, visible to all users.
Private Memos → Only visible to you.
To change privacy settings:
While writing a memo, click the drop-down menu below the text box.
Select Public or Private based on your preference.

Yes! Public memos can be upvoted by other users.

Search for the movie, TV show, or anime you want to review.
Click on its title to open the main page.
Scroll Down to the "Reactions & Reviews" Section
Below the ratings and summary, you’ll find the "Write a Review" section.
Click on "Write a Review"
This will open a new review creation page.
A review editor box will open.
Write Your Review
The minimum length for reviews is 5 lines.
The recommended length is 200–500 words.
Focus on the title's content, characters, story, and visuals.
Avoid one-word or very short reviews as they may be rejected.
SIMKL’s review system allows you to rate different aspects of the title separately: - ✔ Story – How well was the plot structured? - ✔ Visuals – How good was the animation or cinematography? - ✔ Sound – Was the music or voice acting well done? - ✔ Character – Were the characters well developed and engaging? - ✔ Enjoyment – How much did you personally enjoy the title?

🚫 Reviews unrelated to the title (e.g., complaints about the site).
Important: Reviews that violate guidelines may be removed or deleted.
Yes! Once you’ve posted a review, you can share it with friends, social media, or discussion forums.

Yes, you can edit your reviews after posting them.
Go to the Title’s Page where you wrote the review.
Find Your Review in the Reviews section.
Click on "Edit" next to your review.
Make Your Changes and update your thoughts.

Go to Your SIMKL Profile.
Click on "My Reviews" in the profile menu.
Browse through all the reviews you’ve written.
Click on any review to view or edit it.
This allows you to keep track of your past reviews and revisit your thoughts on titles you've watched.
Yes! You can follow users whose reviews you enjoy and get notified when they post new ones.
Click on a User’s Profile from a review you like.
Click "Follow" on their profile page.
You will now be notified whenever the user publishes a review or comments.
You can enable notifications for new reviews by users you follow.
Go to "Settings" > "Notifications".
Enable "Someone who I'm following adds a review."
You will receive alerts whenever someone you follow writes a new review.
If someone comments or replies to your review, you will be notified.
You will receive an in-app notification under the bell icon.
You may also receive email notifications (if enabled).
Click on the notification to view the reply and respond.
Go to "Settings" > "Notifications".
Enable "Someone replies to my review."
You will receive alerts whenever someone you follow writes a new review.
