Favorite List on SIMKL serves as a dedicated collection of your most-loved movies, TV shows, and anime. It is a personalized space where you can keep track of the titles that made a lasting impact on you, making it easy to revisit or share with others.
SIMKL provides multiple ways to organize and categorize your entertainment choices. Each list type serves a unique purpose:

Unlike Custom Lists, where users need to manually create and organize categories, Favorite Lists are automatically generated when a user clicks the heart icon on any title.
Whether you're browsing a movie title, exploring a TV show, or organizing your watchlist, the ability to quickly add to your favorites makes it easy to maintain a list of your most cherished content.
Your Favorite List is automatically created when you add your first favorite title. You do not need to manually create this list—it is always available for TV Shows, Movies, and Anime.
To add a title to your Favorite List, use any of the following methods:
If you're currently viewing a movie, TV show, or anime title, you can add it to your Favorite List instantly:
1. Go to the Title Page
Search for the movie, TV show, or anime you want to add.
2. Find the Heart Icon ❤️
Next to "Add to Watchlist", you will see a heart icon.
3. Click the Heart Icon
Once clicked, the heart will turn red, indicating that the title has been successfully added to your Favorite List.
4. Done! The title will now automatically appear in your Favorite List.
Pro Tip: You can find this feature on all title pages, whether it's a newly released movie or an old classic TV series.
If you already have a movie or show in your Watchlist, you can easily mark it as a favorite without searching for it again.
1. Go to Your Watchlist or Custom List
Click "Profile" → "My Lists"
Select the Watchlist or Custom List where the title is stored.
2. Find the Title You Want to Favorite
3. Click the Three-Dot Menu (⋮) or Hover Over the Title
4. Select “Add to Favorites” (Heart Icon ❤️)
Clicking the heart will move it to your Favorite List.
Pro Tip: You can also use this method to quickly favorite multiple titles from your existing lists.
If you're browsing the Discover Pages on SIMKL, you can favorite titles without even opening the details page.
1. Navigate to the Discover Section
Movies: Click "Movies" → "Discover"
TV Shows: Click "TV" → "Discover"
Anime: Click "Anime" → "Discover"
2. Hover Over a Title in Poster View
3. Click the Heart Icon ❤️
4. The Title is Now Added to Your Favorite List!
Pro Tip: This method is great for quickly favoriting multiple titles while browsing trending movies or new releases.

Find the Title You Want to Remove
Click the Heart Icon Again ❤️
The heart will turn gray, and the title will be removed.
Once you've added titles to your Favorite List, you may want to view, manage, or explore them. SIMKL provides multiple ways to access your Favorite Lists, ensuring that you can quickly find and organize your most-loved Movies, TV Shows, and Anime.
This method allows you to filter your Watchlist to only show your favorited titles.
Steps to Access Your Favorite List from the Watchlist:
1. Go to Your Profile Watchlist
Click on "Profile" → Navigate to the Watchlist section.
Choose either Movies, TV Shows, or Anime based on what you want to filter.
2. Enable the "Filter by Favorites" Option
On the left-side panel, locate the "Filter by" section.
Check the box labeled "Favorites".
3. View Your Filtered Favorite Titles
This will only display the titles that you’ve marked as favorite.
You can sort your Favorite List by Rank, Alphabetical Order, Release Date, or Date Added.
Pro Tip: This method allows you to see your favorites in a structured way while still accessing your full Watchlist functionalities.
If you prefer to view your Favorite Lists separately, this method automatically organizes your favorites into pre-created lists.
Steps to Find Your Favorite List in "My Lists":
1️⃣ Go to Your Profile → "My Lists"
Click on Profile in the top-right corner.
Select "My Lists" from the navigation bar.
2️⃣ Locate your Favorite Lists
Under My Lists, you will find three Favorite Lists:
Favorite Movies
Favorite TV Shows
Favorite Anime
3️⃣ Customize and Manage Your Favorite Lists
Unlike Method 1, these lists are pre-organized and can be customized with text descriptions.
You do not need to manually filter anything—your favorites are already grouped.
If you want to explore other members’ Favorite Lists on SIMKL or compare them with your own, this method is ideal.
Steps to Find Your Favorite List from the Discover Page:
1️⃣ Go to the SIMKL Lists Page
2️⃣ Enable the "Favorites" Filter
Click on Filters in the left panel.
Check the box labeled "Favorites".
3️⃣ Find Your Favorite Lists or Explore Others’ Lists
If you want to view your own Favorite Lists, click on "Filter by My Lists".
If you want to see what other users have favorited, leave the filter as "All Lists".
Pro Tip: This method is a great way to find new recommendations by checking other users' top-rated and most-loved titles.
Favorite Lists are always public by default so that other users can discover and interact with your recommendations. However, you can set it to private in your Lists privacy settings.

At the moment, Favorite Lists are automatically arranged in the order titles were added, but you can edit the sorting customize it.
